Blog Visitor Numbers

The last post about my visitor numbers was shown in weeks, which probably wasn't so easy to look at, so I've got it in months now:

I must have written something very interesting over the Christmas period! It shot up at that point. The graph's figures are taken up to today, which explains the sharp dip at the end.

To date the stats are:

  • 5623 visits

  • 9975 page views

  • 1.77 page views per visit

  • Bounce rate: 68.27%

  • Average time on site: 2min 26sec

  • New visits: 32.62%

  • 1852 different visitors

  • Visits from USA: 108

  • Average time on site from USA visitors: 14sec

  • Visits from Philippines: 17

  • Average time on site from Philippine visitors: 3min 19sec
I thought I'd show the last four stats because of the strange differences between the American and Philippine visitors.

I know those stats can be improved on, and that will involve getting this blog a proper independent website. But last time I tried that it nearly all went wrong, so if I'm going to do it I'll get a proper website nerd to do it!

The reason why the graph starts at August is because that is when I started to get my first views coming through and my first comments.
PS: you'll have to click on the image to get it full size!

I suspect that the 17 views from the Philippines could be something to do with Phil Sirr going on holiday :-)

As for visitor numbers, I think you're missing out on the true potential, so get a IT geek to sort out doubleglazingblogger.co.uk as soon as you can, and get wordpress installed. It'll be like giving your website a turbo boost.

Then get an AWeber account so your regulars keep coming back more often.

I sent you a message on Twitter offering to help you out with your blog FOC and heard nothing. You could at least replied.

You need help with your company site and this blog. Google are deleting record numbers on here. Move it or lose it!

Shows you how important it is to not cheap out and get it done right!

Also bounce rate pretty high! 7 outa 10 people are clicking on your blog and finding something they didn't want and therefore clicked off. Perhaps cos people just search through blogs until find something of interest! lol

Last time I tried to turn this into a proper website it all nearly went Pete Tong! I will get it done though. The bounce rate is high probably due to the reason you said, people just trawl through blogs until they find something of interest.

Most likely. Tbh, i would recommend a blog for something like this as its your own opinion and personally i think that blogs are ace for that!

However, for a company, in the 21st century a website is a must....When you find out about a new company..what do you do? Type it into Google? ;)

Well, we've just had our IT guy in who hosts our current website and it's going to be changed, condensed and it's going to be design properly within about four weeks. So we'll have all that sorted soon!
