Poll Result: Most Against Strikes

I ran a poll recently which closed a few days ago, asking if you supported the strike action taken by DB Glass and Total Window Systems, part of the Epwin Group. These are the results:

Yes: 12
No: 16
Undecided: 5
Total: 33

So just under half of those who voted said that they were against the strike action, which doesn't surprise me, seen as though the appetite for strike action in this country is rather low.

What would be good to know, either from the company or from employees, is if the dispute has been sorted, or if there has been no solution found yet.

hello!
There was a one day strike on the 12th of last month, quite a large turn out including local bbc news and a couple of tazer wielding police officers! (Not sure why as it was a peaceful strike apart from one moment where a union member laid in front of a wagon).

There has been no further negotiations to my knowledge, so i cant see the members stopping there. I would imagine there are more strikes to come, when? im not sure, i will keep an ear to the ground.

As for the results of the poll, i think it is hard to get a proper response, as it basic translates to do you agree with strike action. As only those who work at Total window systems know what is effecting them (80% voted to walk out), so personally in this matter, its their opinion and vote that matters. Outside looking in, it is easy to say they are greedy and this is a hard time for all. But to them they may see other things that we cannot. Example could be that you are a staunch Tory, but then you are affected by a policy from labour that would benefit you massively and change allegiances, or a Labour supporter but their latest plan would mean that you would lose out and be adversely effected so switch to tory. Until you are the one being affected its hard to pass judgement

Liking the new colour scheme by the way!
