A Little Bit Of Showing Off

I don't get many opportunities on here to be able to brag about the people that are closest to me, but then I was shown this video by my girlfriend last night of her singing and I thought that she ought to be heard and seen by many more people than just me. Yes it's a little bit soft and soppy, but I'm beyond caring. I'm trying to help Sophii get noticed in any way I can, so that's why I'm posting this video on here. Feedback welcome!

PS: the girl just sitting in the background not really doing anything is Christy, also a decent person!

How Not To Install Fascias: Video

Like the pictures, there isn't much I need to say to explain this video. Please leave your comments, I'm sure there will be a few on this one.

P.S. I had to chop this video down as Facebook, Blogger and YouTube were having problems uploading all 30 minutes of it. And I'd like to point out that there wasn't much extra work done after the end of the video.

Video Interviews

It's been a while since I posted any videos on here. So I trawled YouTube for a little while and came across these two videos. They're nothing earth shattering or spectacular, but it's the idea behind them that's intrigued me.

In them the answers questions in order to dispel certain myths and misconceptions about the industry. As I've said, it's not a producers masterpiece, but if more effort was done to make the industry more transparent and understandable, the public might take a bit more of an interest in what we all do. Videos are a good way of doing this.

Businesses Can't Afford To Miss Out On Social Media In The Future

The video below shows you why businesses cannot afford to not be involved in social media in some way, shape or form. I don't need to say anything else, you just need to watch it:

How The Europeans Do It

I've found this video knocking around on YouTube:

What's interesting is the details they choose to talk about and what they have on-screen, such as the glazing dimensions. We wouldn't really display so clearly the glazing dimensions, or where they had been made for example. Our customers probably wouldn't care so much if their windows had been made in France, the UK or anywhere else.

Plus, 253 euros is cheap! I do like the built in shutters idea. I've stayed in a villa in Spain with PVCu windows with these built in shutters and in such a hot country they are incredibly handy!

A Decent Double Glazing Video

Following in the footsteps of RCG, I though I'd trawl YouTube to find double glazing videos, but I thought I'd try and find a decent one. I think I might have:

Decent camera work and good interviews. Slick shots of manufacturing as well.

I still don't think however that videos on YouTube add much value to companies' appearances. You might get the odd customer who goes massively in-depth into research in the company, but I don't see any real advantage or gain.

But I might be wrong!
